thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. i try to remember to be thankful for things all during the year, but often i fall short. but today is a great reminder.
this year, the thing i'm most thankful for is my zamboni. last year right after christmas, he had a pneumothorax (collapsed lung). he was in the hospital with a chest tube for almost a week before the doctors could get back from their vacations and operate on him, and then he was in the icu for a week after that. his doctors supported my decision to treat him, but i don't think they had much hope for his survival. but the zamboni's will to eat and shed and cuddle again was way too strong. yay, zamboni!
i'm also thankful for my friends, who listened to my whingings about my lack of employment and other various issues. and my parents for their support. i'm grateful for all of our good health, emphasized after the death of my dad's best friend, as well as the illnesses in my best friends' parents.
i'm thankful for my pooh, for always being a great example of loyalty and friendship. and sometimes patience.
