roger clemens is a big fat liar

even if he somehow MIRACULOUSLY doesn't know it, roger clemens was definitely on the juice. men just don't get to their physical peaks in their late 30s and early 40s. human men don't, at least. plus, i worked with professional wrestlers for more than three years, i'm very familiar with the signs. and that boy is guilty. if it turns out somehow that he's not, i'll eat nothing but fruits and vegetables for a week. lettuce -- you are safe!

also, i haven't yet commented on the new season of american idol. the audition weeks have been pretty good, with many talented singers and a distinct lack of mocking of the mentally disabled. tonight they announce the top 24, but i'm afraid that three of my early favorites are not going to make the cut. drew poppelreiter, the blonde farm boy, wasn't even shown during last night's hollywood week 2-hour cramaganza until the previews for tonight's show. he was adorable in a boy band way but had the deep mature voice of a george strait. josiah leming, the 18 year old living out of his car with the madonnaesque british accent, started strong but totally blew it on the last night. and future governor kyle ensley just didn't overcome his dorkiness enough to impress the judges to send him to the top 24.

the good news is that carly smithson, the scottish woman with the prior major record label release in her closet, finally won me over with her version of "alone." but i predict, the next australian, er, american idol will be: michael johns!

p.s. american idol producers: "buckhead" isn't a city or town in georgia. it's a neighborhood.
